Reading's Jason Roberts believes that the club can survive in the Premier League.

Reading's Jason Roberts has insisted that the club will survive in the Premier League next season.

Reading have signed Chris Gunter, Adrian Mariappa, Danny Guthrie, Nicky Shorey and Pavel Pogrebnyak during the summer, and Roberts is confident that they can help the club perform in the Premier League.

Roberts told Sky Sports News: "We have to believe we are good enough. We have got some good players who have played in the Premier League before and that is a bonus for us.

"We have got some other good players who may not have Premier League experience but they have in other leagues. It is an exciting time for everyone at the club."

Roberts scored six goals in the second half of last season to help Reading win the Championship.
