Jake Taylor's first ever goal for Reading has given his side a 1-0 advantage at half-time of their Championship game with Ipswich Town this afternoon.
There was an early chance for Simon Cox after he crept into the area, but Ipswich keeper Dean Gerken did well to block the Reading striker's effort with his legs.
The Royals were unfortunate not to go ahead minutes later when Jay Tabb's corner was twice prodded towards goal, but Chris Gunter eventually cleared off the line following a goalmouth scramble.
They eventually got the breakthrough thanks to Taylor, who chased down a long ball that was not defending well by the Ipswich defence before cleverly slotting home from a tough angle.
