Rangers confirm Charles Green departure

Rangers confirm the departure of Charles Green from his consultancy role at the club.

Rangers have confirmed the departure of Charles Green from his consultancy role at the club.

The 60-year-old businessman has also agreed to sell his shareholding in the former Scottish champions.

It was reported on Tuesday morning that the Green was planning to step down at Ibrox following discontent from fans over his return to the club at the start of August.

Green was the former chief executive at Rangers but resigned in April amid claims that he was linked to former owner Craig Whyte.
