Ally McCoist: 'Rangers not at their best'

Rangers manager Ally McCoist believes that his team weren't at their best in today's 2-0 win over East Fife in the Scottish League One.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has admitted that his team's performance levels weren't what he was looking for, despite the Glasgow side's 2-0 home win over East Fife at Ibrox today in the Scottish League One.

Goals either side of the break from returning playmaker Dean Shiels were enough to separate the sides and give the Gers their fourth victory in succession without conceding.

He told reporters: "I'm delighted with another three points but the level of performance could have been and will be better.

"The most important thing for us (after taking the lead) is that we can go on and get the second goal and hopefully look to kill the game off.

"As strange as it may seem, getting the first goal is obviously very important but at this moment in time, probably at home, the second one seems more vital."

Rangers lead the table by 17 points.
