RANGERS: Bell; Faure, McCulloch, Mohsni, Wallace; Aird, Black, Law, Templeton; Shiels, Daly

SUBSTITUTES: Simonsen, Crawford, Smith, Cribari, Foster, Little, Peralta

DUNFERMLINE: Scully, Williamson, Whittle, Martin, Morris, Millen, Byrne, Geggan, Wallace, Falkingham, Shankland

SUBSTITUTES: Goodfellow, Thomson, Moore, Young, Husband, El Bakhtaoui, Drummond

TEAM NEWS: Ally McCoist has decided to name an unchanged team for tonight's clash as Lewis Macleod continues his spell on the sidelines with a calf strain. Bilel Mohsni starts for the hosts prior to his two-game league suspension starting. Danny Grainger, Ross Forbes and Jonathan Page are all unavailable for Dunfermline due to being cup-tied before their moves to the club.

Dunfermline will be hoping that his side can pick up their first win over Rangers this season following two defeats in the league. Jim Jefferies and his team were criticised for their physical approach in those games. Will there be a change of tactics tonight?

Rangers are of course favourites to progress. It would be a great story if McCoist can lead his side to glory in this competition. Plenty of teams stand in their way. Dunfermline won't want to go down easily.

Both teams have emerged from the tunnel and everything is in place for the start of this Scottish Cup fifth-round tie. The excitement is building inside Ibrox. Dunfermline will get the game underway.

Rangers are looking to get on the front foot early on in front of their home fans but they've not yet found their passing rhythm.

SHOT! A throw-in finds Shiels, who hits a nice half-volley towards goal but Scully is able to make an easy save in the Dunfermline goal.

Dunfermline are being forced to drop deep in the early stages as Rangers look to put the pressure on with a quick tempo to their play. A couple of blocks prevents the hosts from breaking through.

Dunfermline are seeing much more of the ball now. Millen delivers a superb cross from the right to make life difficult for Bell, who wins a free kick for his side after punching the ball clear.

Rangers are starting to lose the 50/50 balls in midfield now as Dunfermline continue to improve. Plenty of support for the visitors from the supporters packed into a corner of the ground.

GOAL! RANGERS 1-0 DUNFERMLINE (SHIELS)

Rangers make the breakthrough! Templeton shows some good skill to beat a couple of defenders but his back-heel is misdirected. However, the visitors failed to clear and Shiels took advantage to fire home the opening goal.

CHANCE! It's end-to-end stuff at Ibrox now as Rangers break quickly following a Dunfermline attack. Shiels loses his marker and is clean through on goal but Scully rushes off his line to deny the forward. The crowd wanted a penalty but it's good goalkeeping.

That goal has certainly increased the noise level inside the crowd. Dunfermline's supporters are urging their side on and we'e already seen signs that the visitors can get themselves back in this game. It's a crucial early goal for Rangers.

Rangers send a number of players forward for a free kick. Black delivers a ball deep into the box and McCulloch wins the header, but the ball drifts harmlessly out of play.

Dunfermline have looked dangerous when they've been able to create space on both wings. Millen, in particular, has been eager to break forward when possible. Jim Jefferies will know that his side cannot afford to fall two goals behind.

Aird collects the ball in midfield and quickly earns himself some space. A chipped pass over the top of the defence interests Templeton but the winger is beaten to the ball by Scully.

Daly uses his strength to flick on a long ball but he lacks support in attack. Rangers manage to keep the move alive and Law tricks his way into the box before being cramped for room by the Dunfermline defenders.

SAVE! Templeton looks dangerous every time he receives the ball and he comes close to doubling his side's lead when he cuts in from the left to test Scully with a powerful low strike from 25 yards. Decent save. Great play from the winger.

Shankland is starting to look very isolated in attack, which will definitely concern Jefferies. Dunfermline are seeing a lot of the ball but have found it difficult to make an impact in advanced areas of the pitch.

Big reaction from the Rangers supporters when Wallace chops down Black on the right wing. It's a poor challenge but no card is awarded.

GOAL! RANGERS 2-0 DUNFERMLINE (SHIELS)

Disaster for Dunfermline. The visitors miss a couple of opportunities to clear the danger from the free kick conceded by Wallace and they pay the price. A cross finds Daly, whose header is well saved by Scully. Unfortunately, the ball falls to Shiels and the forward taps in for his second of the game.

Rangers on the attack once again. Templeton collects the ball on the left and the Dunfermline defenders are not willing to jump in with a challenge. The winger's cross is too deep for his teammates but McCoist approves of the idea.

The hosts are playing with plenty of confidence now. Is this game over? Dunfermline simply have to score the next goal.

SAVE! Wallace finds some space on the right and he's able to work his way into the box before stinging Bell's palms with a firm effort from a tight angle.

SAVE! Big chance for Shiels to complete his hat-trick. Aird plays a perfectly timed pass for the forward, who loses his balance before forcing Scully into a routine save. A third goal would surely kill this tie off.

Dunfermline certainly haven't been out-passed by the hosts but their inability to keep possession in the final third of the pitch is becoming a real worry. Jefferies may be forced to change things at the break if the score stays the same.

Rangers break forward again and it's Templeton who starts the move once again with his pace on the left wing. The winger is forced into a corner by the visiting defence and he chooses to pass to Shiels, who curls an optimistic effort over the crossbar.

Shiels seems to be everywhere tonight. He picks up the ball on the right before seeing an inviting cross cleared out of the box. The ball eventually reaches Black but the midfielder is off target with a long-range strike.

GOAL! RANGERS 3-0 DUNFERMLINE (TEMPLETON)

Game over? Templeton gets the goal his performance deserves when he cuts in from the left wing once again. Dunfermline are reluctant to allow him to use his right foot, so Templeton responds by shifting the ball onto his left and drilling past Scully. Rangers are cruising at the moment.

It's starting to become an easy night for Mohsni and company in the Rangers defence. Dunfermline are being forced to go slightly more direct but every ball is being cleared by the hosts.

Dunfermline enjoy an extended spell of possession in the opposing half of the pitch but Rangers keep the pressure on the visitors with Black, in particular, hassling every player that gets the ball in midfield.

Dunfermline win a free kick in a great position but Geggan's cross is poor and Rangers are able to clear. The away side cannot afford to waste chances like that.

SHOT! Nice move from Rangers as the ball is drilled in to Daly, who holds up play well before finding Templeton. His shot is too straight and Scully makes an easy save.

CLOSE! A Rangers is free kick is inadvertently flicked on by a Dunfermline head and Mohsni arrives at the back post to head just wide of the far post. Big chance, but Rangers will fancy scoring more tonight. Wallace was booked just moments earlier for a late challenge on Templeton.

HALF-TIME: RANGERS 3-0 DUNFERMLINE

We're only halfway through this fifth-round tie but very few people will be backing against Rangers progressing. The hosts have been dominant in the first 45 minutes and fully deserve their lead. It's difficult to see a way back for Dunfermline.

Dunfermline looked in good shape in the early stages but the opening goal hurt them and they've struggled to threaten ever since. Shiels is proving to be a constant danger with his movement, while Templeton is on his way to a man of the match award.

Jefferies may make changes at half-time. Will it be a case of damage limitation? If the visitors score the next goal, an unlikely comeback may be on but it's a long way back for Dunfermline.

Dunfermline saw 47% of possession in the first half, which might surprise some people. They've seen plenty of the ball but they lack a cutting edge, while Rangers are threatening every time they break forward.

No surprise to see Dunfermline making changes. Millen and Byrne have both been brought off to make way for Faissal El Bakhtaoui and Ryan Thomson. Rangers will get the game back underway.

Dunfermline need to come out firing early in this first half. It looks like they'll be playing with two up front as they look for a way back into the game.

GOAL! RANGERS 4-0 DUNFERMLINE (SHIELS)

It's surely all over at Ibrox. Wallace sprints into the box but is denied at the final hurdle by Scully. However, the ball breaks loose to Shiels, who only has to pass the it into an empty net to complete his hat-trick. Great effort from the forward tonight.

Dunfermline are playing for pride now. They've been poor in the final third of the pitch. A lack of quality and composure has made it difficult for them to create any chances.

Great work once again from Wallace on the left as he earns himself some space with a nice piece of skill before drilling in a cross. The danger is cleared by Dunfermline with Daly waiting at the back post to tap in.

CHANCE! It should be five. Rangers pile on the pressure with a couple of corners. The second cross reaches Mohsni but he fails to convert from close range as his header drifts wide of the target.

Dunfermline win a free kick just over the halfway line but the delivery is once again poor as Bell comes off his line to easily collect the ball under no pressure.

Black stands over a free kick 25 yards from goal but he fails to beat the wall. The ball falls to McCulloch, who miscues a volley wide of the target.

Daly took a knock just above the eye a few moments ago and he's been forced to change his shirt due to some blood. It's a nasty cut but he'll be fine to continue.

A nice phase of play leads to Dunfermline winning a corner. The ball is delivered towards to the near post, where Aird makes the clearance. Jefferies will be furious with his team's set pieces tonight.

Rangers have taken their foot of the gas slightly as they reap the benefits of a four-goal lead. There's certainly more goals on offer should the hosts continue to commit men forward.

Templeton links well with Wallace on the left and the latter breaks into the box with impressive strength to win a corner for his side. Dunfermline clear the danger on this occasion but the hosts keep on coming.

SAVE! Aird tricks his way past a couple of defenders before poking a shot at goal in the middle of a congested penalty area. Scully sees the ball late but still manages to get down to make the save.

I'm sure McCoist will be thinking about taking a couple of his key players off soon. It would take something close to a miracle for Dunfermline to rescue anything from this match.

McCulloch has led by example on the rare occasion when Rangers have been put on the back foot this evening. The skipper rises highest to clear a couple of crosses before picking out a teammate to start another attacking move.

Templeton digs into his bag of tricks once again to cause some problems with a couple of pieces of skill before seeing the ball drift out of play as he attempted to deliver a cross. McCoist doesn't made that piece of play from the winger.

SHOT! Aird picks up the ball on the right but is forced to settle for a corner due to a lack of options in the box. The set-piece is played short to Black, who fires a shot just over the crossbar from just outside the area.

Just 20 minutes left in this game at Ibrox. Rangers have barely been troubled in the second half and are knocking the ball around with apparent ease. Dunfermline's supporters seemed to accept the result a long time ago.

SUBSTITUTION: Aird comes off to a good reception and he's replaced by Arnold Peralta.

Perlata is in the action immediately to win the ball in midfield before earning a free kick for his side by turning away from Martin. The Rangers supporters clearly want to see more goals in this game.

SAVE! Scully can certainly hold his head high tonight. Templeton is just too good for the Dunfermline defence once again as he burst into the box with a good run. His effort isn't in either corner, but Scully deserves credit for the save.

SUBSTITUTION: Jefferies makes his final change of the match to bring Jordan Moore on for Shankland, who has been unable to make an impact in attack. Big cheers from the home supporters as Shiels comes off to a standing ovation to make way for Andrew Little.

CROSSBAR! Black has tried his luck a few times but he won't come closer than this. The midfielder loses his marker with a brilliant turn before striking the crossbar with a great effort from 25 yards.

SAVE! Templeton produces more magic, this time on the right, to earn himself some room in the box. His first cross is cleared straight back to him and he's then denied by Scully's foot. Top save.

Dunfermline have made a couple of advances forward in the past couple of minutes but a lack of players going forward means that Rangers find it easy to prevent any chances from being created. The hosts look comfortable as the game enters the final 10 minutes.

YELLOW CARD! Morris receives a caution for preventing Templeton from collecting a clever pass from Daly. McCoist uses the break in play to send Robbie Crawford on to replace Law.

Thomson peels away at the back post in an attempt to connect with a deep cross but the substitute fails to head the ball back across the box. The Rangers defence will be desperate to keep a clean sheet.

Rangers are cruising towards the final whistle now, despite a decent spell of possession for Dunfermline. Can the visitors claim a consolation goal?

Excellent defending by Mohsni to intercept a cross before winning a header in the box to clear the corner that follow. Dunfermline are eager to keep the pressure on. Too little, too late.

YELLOW CARD! Falkingham shows some good pace to beat a couple of defenders before winning a free kick when Mohsni dives in to receive a yellow card. Good position for the visitors.

Falkingham fails to beat the wall with his free kick from the edge of the box. Rangers are kept on the back foot but eventually manage to clear the danger.

YELLOW CARD! Silly booking for Templeton, who gets into a pushing with Whittle after winning a free kick. The Rangers fans are upset by the decision but it's a needless mistake from the man of the match. Two minutes of added time to be played.

Well, that has calmed the Rangers fans down. Moore shows nice skill to turn his marker on the edge of the box before tripping over his own feet. The substitute grabs the ball appealing for a foul but handball is given by the referee.

FULL-TIME: RANGERS 4-0 DUNFERMLINE

The game is over at Ibrox but the contest was finished a long time ago. Rangers book their spot in the sixth round with a dominant display. Shiels scored twice to hand his side the control before the impressive Templeton extended the lead just before the break. The hat-trick for Shiels was completed early in the second half as Rangers secured a comfortable victory.

Rangers march on to the next round as Dunfermline's challenge ends at round five. Thanks for joining me for tonight's game. I hope you've enjoyed the coverage. Goodnight.
