Gary Thom put through his own goal to put the visitors in front, before former Dundee United striker Jon Daly helped himself to a hattrick and put the Fifers to the sword.

Half-chance for Rangers as Little's nod-on is chased down by Clark, who is beaten to the loose ball by Paterson. The whistle had gone for offside in any case.

SHOT! Nicky Law tests Paterson with a curling effort, which the East Fife stopper palms away. Peralta picks up the rebound, but blazes it over the crossbar.
Buchanan goes on a mazy run, beating two Rangers defenders, but McCulloch steals the ball from his feet with a well-timed tackle before he can unleash a shot.
Jon Daly puts Rangers into a comfortable position, placing a header over Paterson and into the net. He had all the time in the world after being tee up by Clark's nod-on, and he kept his cool and showed great technique.

Rangers go straight on the attack as Nicky Law chases a through ball and tumbles in the box. He appeals for a penalty claiming that he was fouled, but I think he just lost his balance.

As things stand in Scottish League One, Rangers' 10-point lead is not under threat since second-placed Stenhousemuir are being held 1-1 by Forfar at the break.
McCoist will expect more of his midfield in the second period. Playing long balls into the box towards Clark didn't pay off in the first half, so they need to start winning the battle in the centre of the park and holding the ball more effectively.
It's been a frustrating first half for Rangers at the Bayview Stadium, with Ally McCoist's side struggling to break down a stubborn East Fife defence. They have had the better of the possession, but lacked that clinical edge.

There's a painful clash for Brown as Peralta's elbow makes contact with the East Fife man's head. He looks in some discomfort, but there was no malice in Peralta's challenge. I think the ref should have stopped play there to make sure he is okay.

PREDICTION: There is only one way I can see this match going based on how the season has panned out so far. Rangers are looking almost invincible in the league, and I think they will be too much for East Fife. I'm going with 3-1 to the visitors.
