Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe has emerged as a loan target for former boss Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers, according to reports.
Defoe previously played under Redknapp for Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur, and could join Queens Park Rangers during the off-season in the MLS next year, according to The Sunday People.
The 31-year-old is expected to join the London club in January at the end of his first season in the MLS - where he has scored six times in seven appearances for Toronto so far.
Redknapp is also keen on teaming up with former West Ham United players Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand following their releases from their respective clubs.
