Loic Remy: 'World Cup is a shop window'

Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy admits that he wants to use this summer's World Cup in Brazil to secure a move to a 'big club'.

Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy has admitted that he hopes to use this summer's World Cup in Brazil to earn a move to a 'big club'.

The 27-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle United, will be part of the France squad for the finals.

Remy has said that he wants to make an impression during the tournament.

"You have a very small chance of being in [the World Cup]. You almost have more of a chance of winning the EuroMillions lottery. I hope it's the start of something big for me," he told L'Equipe.

"The World Cup is a shop window for me. Newcastle, to whom I was loaned by QPR, want to buy me. I don't know if I'm going to stay there.

"I'm at a crossroads, in a key year. It can either all take off or stagnate. Since the start of the year, apart from the injuries, it's been good. And when I feel good, I think I can do a lot of damage."

Liverpool have reportedly made an offer for the former Marseille striker.
