Queens Park Rangers have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.
It's believed that the R's had an initial offer of £5m for the 24-year-old recently rejected by their Dutch counterparts.
However, discussions between the two clubs have restarted, with QPR manager Harry Redknapp hopeful that the negotiations will soon reach a successful conclusion, according to the London Evening Standard.
The report added that Ajax are keen to receive around £10m for the Icelandic international.
Meanwhile, Redknapp is also thought to be preparing a bid for Norwich City centre-forward Gary Hooper, who turned down a move to Loftus Road last summer.
