Queens Park Rangers are reportedly in the running for former Malaga striker Javier Saviola.

Championship side Queens Park Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Argentine striker Javier Saviola.

Despite interest from Premier League club West Ham United, Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is considering a bid for the former Malaga man, according to Sky Sports News.

"Javier is more than keen on linking up with Harry Redknapp, he knows his teams play good football and the chance of helping QPR to promotion is genuinely appealing to him," a source close to the player told Sky Sports News.

"Javier's next move is not about the finances, he wants a footballing challenge and England gives him that."

QPR were relegated from the Premier League last season.
