Stuart Pearce: 'Queens Park Rangers could surprise everyone'

Stuart Pearce believes that QPR could surprise everyone and stay in the Premier League this season.

Stuart Pearce has claimed that Queens Park Rangers could spring a surprise and avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

The R's are currently two points adrift of safety in the table following four defeats in their last six games.

Chris Ramsey's side are among the favourites to drop down to the Championship, but Pearce believes that they have what it takes to stay in the top flight.

"Everyone has written QPR off all season," he told Sky Sports News. "If there is going to be a surprise, it's going to be QPR. That pitch, the intensity, it's all close to you and in your face. It could be QPR getting out of it."

QPR continue their fight for survival on Saturday when they welcome West Ham United to Loftus Road.
