Charlie Austin: 'Queens Park Rangers not good enough'

QPR striker Charlie Austin admits that the team were poor during their 2-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Burnley.

Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin has claimed that the team were "not good enough" during Saturday's defeat to Burnley.

The R's continued their woeful away form in the Premier League at Turf Moor as they were beaten 2-1 by their fellow strugglers.

Austin found the net against his former club to take his tally to 13 goals for the season, but the forward admits that QPR must improve on the road if they want to stay in the top flight.

"It's not good enough, really," he told the club's official website. "You can't get away from it, our away form needs to improve – rapidly.

"We've been poor on the road. We need to break our duck as soon as possible. We'll continue to work as hard as we can to put things right, but it's errors that are costing us now. The two goals we conceded were poor. That has to stop."

QPR continue their fight for Premier League survival this Saturday when they welcome Manchester United to Loftus Road.
