Mark Hughes is expected to call upon the services of Joey Barton and Bobby Zamora ahead of Queens Park Rangers' clash with Swansea City on Wednesday.
Midfielder Barton and striker Zamora were both absent from the side's defeat at Old Trafford to league leaders Manchester United on Sunday.
Under-fire Barton, who was one booking away from a two-match ban, is now clear of that worry and looks likely to take the place of Shaun Derry, if the West Londoners' appeal against his sending off at Old Trafford is not successful.
Zamora, who last played in the 2-1 victory over Arsenal, has recovered from a virus.
QPR sit one place above the relegation zone in 17th with goal difference separating them from Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic, who are also on 28 points.
