Mark Hughes confident of Queens Park Rangers backing

Mark Hughes says that he has the full support of the Queens Park Rangers hierarchy.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has insisted that he still has the backing of the club following their poor start to the season.

The Hoops are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and are still looking for their first win of the campaign after losing 2-1 to West Ham United at Loftus Road on Monday.

The pressure is on the Welshman who spent nearly £200m on new signings in the summer, but he is adamant that he has the full support of the club's hierarchy.

When asked if he will be given enough time Hughes said: "I would think so. We have had a big investment and we're looking to improve this year and we will.

"It is very, very early days but until we get positive results on the board then obviously everything is up for debate and a focus begins to come on the club as a whole.

"We just need to start winning football matches. If we do that, it goes away."

QPR travel to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
