Junior Hoilett says that he will prove his value to the Queens Park Rangers supporters when he competes for the R's this season.

New Queens Park Rangers signing Junior Hoilett has promised that he will work hard for the club's supporters when he plays at Loftus Road this season.

The 22-year-old, who was thought to be a transfer target for a host of Premier League clubs this summer, penned a four-year deal at the West London outfit a fortnight ago.

"Everyone is looking forward to that first game and I am probably looking forward to it more than normal because I am at a new club and this is a new start for me.

"It will be great to get out in front of the fans and show them what I can do. It's an important game for me and the club."

QPR's first game of the new season is a home fixture against Swansea City on August 18.
