Half-Time Report: Charlie Austin penalty miss keeps Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United level

Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United are deadlocked at half time after an entertaining first half in which Charlie Austin missed a penalty.

Charlie Austin has missed a penalty as Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United remain level at the break.

The home team made a fast start and almost took a first-minute lead as Sandro drilled a low effort towards goal, but Adrian dived low to keep it out.

Just two minutes later, West Ham's Reece Burke had a header cleared off the line by Nedum Onouha as both sides attacked early on.

The West London side were awarded a penalty midway through the half as James Collins was found guilty of handball. However, Adrian kept out his third straight penalty as he dived low to deny Austin's effort.

QPR continued to be the more attacking team as a deflected Matt Phillips shot went narrowly past the post, but neither side could find the breakthrough before the interval.
