PSV Eindhoven captain Georginio Wijnaldum has promised his future to the club despite reported interest from Arsenal.
The Gunners were linked with the Dutch midfielder and his PSV teammate Zakaria Bakkali last week, but the 22-year-old said that he has no plans to leave the Philips Stadion.
"At the end of last season I promised in a meeting with the coach and technical director, Marcel Brands, that I would stay," Sky Sports News quotes Wijnaldum as saying
"This has nothing to do with the fact that I'm now captain. The point is that I have given my word. Clubs being interested in me is a sign that I'm doing well, but I'm happy with PSV."
Wijnaldum joined PSV from Feyenoord two years ago.
