Guus Hiddink makes PSV Eindhoven return

Former PSV Eindhoven manager Guus Hiddink returns to the club as an adviser to the coaching staff.

PSV Eindhoven have appointed former manager Guus Hiddink as an adviser to the club's coaching staff until the end of the season.

The 67-year-old has been out of work since resigning as manager of Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in July.

PSV boss Phillip Cocu has confirmed that Hiddink has taken up his invitation to return to the club for a third time.

"There was already a contact," Soccerway quotes Cocu as saying. "But now we are giving [it] an official interpretation.

"We are delighted that someone with his experience wants to do this. Hiddink is a club icon."

Hiddink has managed PSV on two occasions, from 1987 to 1990 and 2002 to 2006.
