Florentino Perez insists that Real Madrid are not close to a deal to bring in Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has insisted that there is not yet a deal in place to bring Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti to the Bernabeu.

Reports in France and Spain have suggested that the Italian could be confirmed as Jose Mourinho's replacement in the near future, but Perez said that a deal cannot be done while he is employed by PSG.

"Ancelotti is a great person," he told Onda Cero radio. "He was a great player, now coach - one of those who are able to win leagues, who know how to manage high level players... but he is at PSG so today he is not an option.

"Everything is possible in life. PSG must do what they think is best. If the possibility of Ancelotti is there we will analyse it."

Ancelotti's PSG won Ligue 1 this season.
