Zlatan Ibrahimovic praises Marco Verratti

Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals that he is impressed by the development of Paris Saint-Germain youngster Marco Verratti.

Paris Saint-Germain talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hailed the potential of his teammate Marco Verratti.

Despite being just 21, Italian international Verratti has been a key component of Laurent Blanc's side this season, having made 19 appearances in all competitions.

When asked about the midfielder's progress, Ibrahimovic admitted that he has been left impressed with the partnership that the youngster has formed with Thiago Motta.

"Everyone knows now how talented [Verratti] is. Everyone knows how important he is for the balance of the team and I can only admire the partnership he has formed with Thiago Motta. I've rarely seen such a powerful connection between two midfielders," he told 100% PSG magazine.

Verratti's contract with PSG is not due to expire until the summer of 2018.
