Nicolas Anelka to train with Paris Saint-Germain

Nicolas Anelka has been given permission to train with Paris Saint-Germain, according to Leonardo.

Nicolas Anelka's former club Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that the striker has been given permission to train with them.

Anelka is reportedly looking for a return to Europe after a disappointing first 12 months at his current club Shanghai Shenhua in China.

Leonardo, PSG's sporting director, has confirmed that Anelka will join the French club to keep up his fitness.

"Anelka asked to train with us and we are at his disposal to help him to remain fit when he will need it," Leonardo told L'Equipe.

Anelka started his career with PSG, scoring one goal in 10 games before joining Arsenal.
