Former Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies has signed for Preston North End on a free transfer.
Davies was released by the Trotters at the end of the season after 10 years at the Reebok Stadium.
The 36-year-old had been linked with a move to several Championship sides, but the former England international has opted to drop down a division to sign a two-year contract at Deepdale.
The former Southampton player has scored 144 goals in 718 appearances during his career.
