Ben Davies signs new Preston North End contract

Defender Ben Davies signs a new two-year deal with Preston North End.

Preston North End have extended the contract of defender Ben Davies by a further two years.

Davies spent last season on loan at York City, where he made 47 appearances for the League Two outfit, and his consistency at the Minstermen has helped earn him a new deal at Deepdale.

The 18-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "I'm delighted to have extended my stay at Preston North End.

"It's a great club and I cannot wait to get back now for pre-season training."

Davies has made three appearances for Preston since his debut for the club at the start of 2013.
