Porto announce Dani Osvaldo capture

Porto reveal that they have signed former Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo after the Italian was released by the Premier League side.

Porto have announced that they have signed former Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo after he was released by the Premier League side.

The Italian was the record signing for the Saints when he moved to St Mary's in 2013, but he featured just 13 times for the club before his contract was terminated in July.

The Primeira Liga side confirmed the arrival on Twitter:

Osvaldo spent time on loan with Juventus, Inter Milan and Boca Juniors during his spell with Southampton.
