Port Vale goalkeeper attracts Fulham interest

Fulham register an interest in signing Port Vale goalkeeper Ryan Boot.

Port Vale assistant manager Mark Grew has revealed that Fulham have invited goalkeeper Ryan Boot to train with the Premier League outfit.

The 19-year-old is expected to feature for Fulham's Under-19 side against Aston Villa on Saturday, and Grew has admitted that all the club can do is await developments after he has returned from Craven Cottage.

The 55-year-old told the club's official website: "Fulham were looking for a goalkeeper for their Under-19s and they have invited Ryan down for the week as an experience, and then we will see what develops."

Boot has yet to make a first-team appearance for Port Vale.
