Hedwidges Maduro joins PAOK

Experienced Netherlands midfielder Hedwidges Maduro leaves Sevilla to join Greek side PAOK on a free transfer.

Experienced Netherlands midfielder Hedwidges Maduro has joined Greek side PAOK after having his contract rescinded by Sevilla.

The 28-year-old had been contracted with the Spanish outfit until 2015, but has been freed to depart after making just one appearance this season.

Maduro successfully completed his medical last week, despite concerns over his health after he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect last season.

The versatile midfielder started his career at Ajax, before moving to Spain with Valencia in 2008. Four years later, he moved to the Estadio Ramon.
