Goals from Kike Sola and Nino help Osasuna overcome the challenge of Deportivo La Coruna.

A goal in either half ensured that Osasuna claimed a 2-1 victory from their home encounter with Deportivo La Coruna this afternoon.

Having dominated the early exchanges, the hosts broke the deadlock with 26 minutes played.

Kike Sola was the scorer, sending the ball into the bottom-right hand corner of the net following a cross from Emiliano Armenteros.

Despite their continued control of the contest, Osasuna were unable to add to their tally before the break.

The outcome was finally put beyond doubt with 61 minutes on the clock thanks to Nino, who sent a half-volley into the net after Deportivo had failed to clear Lolo's free kick.

As the match entered into stoppage time Javier Camunas reduced the deficit, but his effort proved to be a consolation goal.
