Nottingham Forest defender Jack Hobbs has said that he would like to prove Hull City boss Steve Bruce wrong by winning promotion from the Championship this season.
The 24-year-old, who played 22 times for the Tigers last campaign, joined Forest in July after being told by Bruce that he was surplus to requirements at the KC Stadium.
Hobbs has insisted that he wants to play in the Premier League during his stay at the City Ground.
"Of course I would like to prove him [Bruce] wrong by getting to the Premier League and playing regularly," Sky Sports News quotes Hobbs as saying.
"I want to test myself at the highest level and was disappointed by Hull. It is the start of a new chapter and I am at a club who can do things.
"I just want to play in the Premier League and I'm playing somewhere I think I can achieve."
Forest begin their Championship season at home to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
