New Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies expresses his happiness following his side's 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers.

Billy Davies has revealed that he was "delighted" with the way that his side performed during their 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers at the City Ground this afternoon.

The Tricky Trees dominated large parts of the encounter but having been pegged back by Craig Davies's equaliser, they were unable to find a winning goal.

Despite the dropped points, Davies has insisted that there was plenty for him to be pleased with.

"We had 23 shots today and they had five. We should have taken the three points but I was delighted with our performance. We created a host of chances and I can't complain with what the players gave us – they were unlucky not to have scored more," he told the club's official website.

"If you analyse the game, one mistake cost us the two points. But the learning curve is there and I'm absolutely delighted with the efforts of the players.

"They know exactly what we want from them and they have responded well to that. We'll dust ourselves down after today. We're disappointed not to win but overall very pleased with the performance."

Davies took charge of Forest for a second time last week.
