Preview: Huddersfield Town vs. Norwich City

Sports Mole previews Tuesday's match between Huddersfield Town and Norwich City in the Championship.

Norwich City will be hoping to close the gap between themselves and the automatic promotion places when they travel to Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Tuesday.

The Canaries held Derby County to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, leaving them fifth in the table, and just three points behind leaders Bournemouth.

Alex Neil's side are one of the form teams in the second tier currently, having been beaten just one in their last 10, with John Ruddy keeping clean sheets in five of those games.

The goalkeeper will be hoping he can bounce back at the John Smith's Stadium as he scored an own goal at the weekend, handing Derby the equaliser.

Norwich will be without striker Lewis Grabban again as he recovers from ankle surgery, so Cameron Jerome is likely to continue up front after scoring against the Rams at the weekend.

Meanwhile, the home side will be keen to end a stretch of four matches without a win, a run which has seen them slip to 18th in the table.

Chris Powell's side sit nine points clear of the relegation zone following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Birmingham City, which ended a run of three defeats in a row for the Terriers.

David Edgar will be available for Huddersfield again, as the on-loan Birmingham defender had to sit out against his parent club last time out.

However, Harry Bunn and Jack Robinson will both need fitness tests after they limped out of Saturday's draw with hamstring and knee injuries respectively.

Should Bunn miss out, Nahki Wells may be ready to return, as Powell has confirmed that the striker, who has been sidelined with a shoulder injury, is expected to return to action in one of this week's two matches.

Huddersfield will be keen to avoid a repeat of their meeting with Norwich at Carrow Road earlier this season, as they were reduced to 10 men early on in their 5-0 defeat in December.
