Wolverhampton Wanderers CEO Jez Moxey to fill Norwich City vacancy?

Outgoing Wolverhampton Wanderers CEO Jez Moxey is linked with the equivalent role at Norwich City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey is reportedly being lined up for the equivalent role at fellow Championship side Norwich City.

The 53-year-old announced yesterday that he intends to leave the Midlands outfit after 16 years following the club's takeover by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International.

According to the Eastern Daily Press, Moxey is now in the frame to take the chief executive role with the Canaries that has been vacant since David McNally resigned at the end of last season.

Norwich owners Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones are said to be close friends of former Wolves owner Steve Morgan, who is likely to recommend Moxey for the position.

One of the most respected executives in the business, Moxey is also a member of the Football Association's board and has a CV that includes stints at Stoke City, Rangers and Partick Thistle.
