David Moyes has admitted that he is waiting for the "right club to come along" as he eyes a return to management following his failed spell at Manchester United.
The Scotsman, who spent 11 years in charge of Everton prior to his move to Old Trafford, lasted less than 10 months at United after the club fell from champions to seventh place in the Premier League under his guidance.
Following his dismissal in April, Moyes has been linked to a number of clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace, but the 51-year-old has admitted that those who have approached him have not been the right fit.
"I've had several people contact me about jobs which none of them have turned round and said 'here is a job it's yours'," Moyes told BBC Sport.
"But people have asked me if I have had any interest on jobs - at the moment in time the clubs that have come calling I just felt that they weren't right.
"I will know when the right club comes along and I needed a little bit of time just too make sure that I am ready, and I am feeling good to go back."
Moyes has also claimed that he would prefer to stay in England, but is open to managing abroad.
