League One round-up

Charlton extended their lead at the top of League One while Huddersfield remain undefeated, but were held to a home draw by Walsall.

Charlton continued their excellent recent form by beating Preston 5-2 to extend their lead at the top of League One.

Johnnie Jackson bagged a first-half brace, while Michael Morrisons, Danny Hollins and top-scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips also netted for the Addicks.

Craig Morgan and Keammar Daley scored late consolations for Phil Brown's side but their defensive woes were fully expolited by a rampant Charlton.

Huddersfield remain unbeaten in 42 league games, but slipped five points behind the Addicks after being held to a home draw by Walsall.

Lee Novak had given the Terriers the lead but his 69th minute effort was cancelled out by Jamie Paterson's goal for the visitors.

MK Dons stayed in touch with the top two after coming from behind to beat Rochdale.

Three goals in the space of 14 minutes turned the game around for the Dons after Brian Barry-Murphy's earlier strike had given Rochdale the lead.

The two Sheffield clubs lost ground on their promotion chasing rivals after United were beaten 2-1 at Stevenage, while Brentford ended Wednesday's 100% home record by holding the Owls to a 0-0 draw at Hillsborough.

At the bottom, Yeovil twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with fellow strugglers Chesterfield, while Joel Grant's stoppage time equaliser earned Wycombe a point at Notts County.

League One results: Bournemouth 2-0 Scunthorpe; Charlton 5-2 Preston; Chesterfield 2-2 Yeovil; Exeter 0-0 Carlisle; Huddersfield 1-1 Walsall; Leyton Orient 1-1 Hartlepool; MK Dons 3-1 Rochdale; Notts County 1-1 Wycombe; Oldham 0-2 Bury; Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Brentford; Stevenage 2-1 Sheffield United; Tranmere 0-0 Colchester
