All Italian matches postponed

All Italian matches are postponed in the wake of the death of Livorno's Piermario Morosini.

All matches in the Italian leagues have been postponed in the wake of the death of Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini.

The 25-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest during a Serie B encounter with Pescara earlier today.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was placed in a medically-induced coma. However, despite the efforts of the medical staff, Morosini never regained conciousness.

Having consulted the majority of clubs, the Italian Football Association has taken the decision to cancel all fixtures this weekend.
