Newcastle United agree Chancel Mbemba deal?

Newcastle United are reportedly close to signing Anderlecht defender Chancel Mbemba.

The 20-year-old is held in high regard and has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle have agreed a fee in the region of £7.5m with Anderlecht to sign Mbemba, who has been left out of his club's pre-season match with Lazio this evening.

Newcastle are also believed to be on the verge of signing Mbemba's Anderlecht teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic.
