Talks between Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain regarding the transfer of Moussa Sissoko are reportedly nearing a conclusion.
Recent speculation had suggested that the Magpies would repel any interest in the 25-year-old this month, with the player himself having claimed that he intended to remain on Tyneside until at least the summer.
However, according to Eurosport's sources in France, Newcastle are on the verge of agreeing a fee with PSG for the midfielder's services.
It has been suggested in some quarters that former Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye, who joined the French champions last January, could move back to St James' Park as a part of the deal.
Sissoko joined Newcastle from Toulouse in the winter of 2013.
