Yohan Cabaye to return to Newcastle United?

Former Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye could be used as bait by Paris Saint-Germain to land Magpies star Moussa Sissoko in January, according to reports.

Yohan Cabaye is reportedly poised for a return to Newcastle United as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Paris Saint-Germain target Moussa Sissoko.

The French international has struggled to earn regular football with Les Parisiens since leaving St James' Park for the Parc des Princes last January.

However, The People claims that the Ligue 1 champions are willing to use the midfielder as bait to land 25-year-old Sissoko, who is valued at £20m by the Magpies.

Arsenal are also believed to be interested in the former Toulouse man, but PSG's willingness to trade Cabaye is thought to be significant.

His wages may be an obstacle for the Magpies, but United are confident of overcoming any dispute by offering the 28-year-old a portion of any transfer fee that they receive for Sissoko.
