Newcastle United and Aston Villa have reportedly been offered the chance to sign former Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick.
The 28-year-old recently ended his four-year stint at Turf Moor and is currently a free agent heading into the 2020-21 campaign.
According to The Chronicle, both Newcastle and Villa have been offered Hendrick as the two Premier League sides look to strengthen ahead of next season.
The report claims that despite Villa's busy summer of spending last year, Dean Smith is now keen to acquire players with a wealth of Premier League experience in order to stave off relegation once again.
Hendrick turned out 24 times for Burnley in the English top flight last year and registered two goals and two assists in that time.
The midfielder amassed a total of 139 Premier League appearances for Sean Dyche's men between 2016 and 2020.
