Burnley are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Matt Ritchie as a replacement for Robbie Brady.

Newcastle United midfielder Matt Ritchie has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Burnley.

Ritchie has been a regular in Rafael Benitez's starting lineup since joining the Magpies ahead of the 2016-17 campaign, scoring 16 goals in 70 appearances in all competitions.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Burnley boss Sean Dyche has identified the Scottish international as a possible signing during the January window.

With Robbie Brady sidelined for the rest of the campaign, the Clarets are looking for reinforcements on the left flank, while Ritchie can also contribute from set pieces.

Benitez could shuffle his squad over the coming weeks, but the North-East outfit are unlikely to consider any offer below the £12m they paid Bournemouth for Ritchie's signature.
