Bolton, QPR eye Magpies striker

Bolton and QPR both consider moves to acquire Newcastle striker Nile Ranger.

Bolton and QPR are both thought to be considering making offers for Newcastle United’s Nile Ranger.

Although the striker’s contract is not due to expire until 2016, manager Alan Pardew is reportedly looking to move him along for a fee of £1m in order to bolster his own transfer budget.

Ranger produced no goals during his 24 league appearances for Newcastle last season, but tallied one in the Carling Cup campaign.

The 20-year-old signed from Southampton in 2008.
