Shola Ameobi 'set for Alan Pardew reunion at Crystal Palace'

Shola Ameobi is reportedly close to sealing a move to Crystal Palace to reunite with former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew.

Shola Ameobi is reportedly ready to link up with former Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace.

The 33-year-old left Newcastle after 14 years at the club to join Gaziantep in August, but left the Turkish side in December after an unsuccessful stint.

According to the Daily Mail, West Bromwich Albion are close to agreeing a move for the veteran forward, but Ameobi is thought to prefer a move to Selhurst Park during the mid-season window.

Ameobi scored 79 goals in 397 games for Newcastle.
