Alan Pardew to be given stadium ban for headbutt?

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew could be given a stadium ban by the FA for his headbutt on Hull City's David Meyler, a report claims.

Alan Pardew could be hit with a stadium ban by the FA for his actions in Newcastle United's 4-1 win against Hull City on Saturday.

The 52-year-old headbutted David Meyler and was sent off by referee Kevin Friend. He apologised for the incident after the match, while his club have fined him £100,000 and given him a formal warning.

On Sunday, FA chairman Greg Dyke also confirmed that English football's governing body would launch an investigation, and the result of that could be a lengthy stadium ban, The Mirror reports.

The Magpies boss could reportedly be banned from entering stadiums for at least five games, but the punishment could be extended.

The newspaper adds that the FA will receive Friend's report on Monday morning and charge Pardew with misconduct.
