Remy Cabella 'in contention for Everton clash'

Remy Cabella is expected to be named in Newcastle's squad to play Everton after returning to training following a knee injury.

Remy Cabella is expected to be named in Newcastle United's squad to play Everton on Sunday after returning to training this week.

The French international has missed Newcastle's last three Premier League games with a minor knee ligament injury, but practised with his teammates on Tuesday.

He had previously been enjoying his best form in a Magpies shirt, and caretaker manager John Carver may consider restoring him straight back into his starting lineup for their trip to Goodison Park this weekend.

Cabella has scored one goal in 26 games since arriving at St James' Park for £10m from Montpellier in the summer.
