Johan Cruyff backs Brazil to win World Cup

Former Netherlands international Johan Cruyff backs Brazil to win the World Cup this summer.

Former Netherlands international Johan Cruyff has expressed his belief that Brazil are the favourites to win the World Cup this summer.

Cruyff, who scored 33 times in 48 appearances for his country, has also picked out Spain as one of the main contenders to triumph in the 2014 competition.

"Spain has a great team. But the main candidate is Brazil. They play at home, and we already saw what happened in the Confederations Cup," he told COPE.

Brazil beat Spain 3-0 in the final of the Confederations Cup last summer.

The World Cup begins in less than two weeks.
