Giuseppe Rossi has not ruled out hopes of a return to Serie A with Napoli, according to his agent.
Federico Pastorello believes that his client could be available on the cheap as he looks to recover from a persistent knee injury.
"I cannot exclude the possibility of a move to Napoli, but he currently is a Villarreal player, that is for sure," Pastorello told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
"The market is open and we have not yet seen its true potential, we are looking around for the best solution that can be shared with Villarreal. Giuseppe will return to action in February and it is normal that his market will accelerate in the last two weeks of August."
The 25-year-old is still likely to leave the Yellow Submarine as they prepare for life in the Segunda Division following last season's painful relegation.
