Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that Kalidou Koulibaly has signed a new long-term contract with the Italian outfit, which will run until the summer of 2021.
The 25-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but revealed earlier this month that he turned down interest from Stamford Bridge to remain in Naples.
The Senegal international has now ended the speculation surrounding his future by renewing his contract with Napoli, who are top of Serie A after three wins from their opening four games this season.
"I'm happy to announce that Koulibaly has renewed his contract until 2021," De Laurentiis wrote on Twitter.
Koulibaly, who joined Napoli from Genk in the summer of 2014, made 42 appearances for the Italian giants in all competitions last season.
