Napoli have a two-point deduction overturned on appeal following allegations of match-fixing and move up to second in Serie A.

Napoli have had a two-point deduction overturned on appeal following allegations of match-fixing.

The Serie A club were punished in December for being "objectively responsible" for three of their players' alleged attempts to fix a game in 2010.

The ruling will see Napoli move up to second place in the table, three points behind leaders Juventus.

Paolo Cannavaro and Gianluca Grava, who both received six-month bans, have been cleared, while Matteo Gianello, who is no longer with the club, has had his suspension of three years and three months reduced to 21 months.

Napoli's original fine of €70,000 (£58,500) had also been lowered to €50,000 (£41,700).
