Walter Mazzarri admits that Napoli won't be able to catch "extraordinary" Juventus at the top of the Serie A table.

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has conceded defeat in his quest to lead his side to Serie A title success this season.

The Naples outfit are currently eight points behind leaders Juventus in second place, with Antonio Conte's side having a game in hand.

"Juve are doing extraordinary things, so we couldn't compete with them for the Scudetto," he told reporters. "We only had a shaky moment, but overall are having a wonderful season.

"I won't talk about next term. In my time here the team has grown exponentially, so I hope in future these players will also be able to handle two tournaments thanks to the experience they accumulated in recent years."

Juventus will take on Torino in the Turin derby on Sunday.
