Walter Mazzarri pleased with Napoli win

Walter Mazzarri claims that Napoli "deserved" their 3-2 home win against Cagliari in Serie A on Sunday.

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has admitted that he is relieved with his side's last-gasp win against Cagliari in Serie A on Sunday.

Lorenzo Insigne scored in injury time for the Naples outfit as they won 3-2 at the Stadio San Paolo.

"We struggled today as Michael Agazzi was phenomenal in goal," Mazzarri told reporters. "Edinson Cavani had two or three scoring opportunities and got a bit anxious when they wouldn't go in.

"During the half-time break I focused on calming Cavani down and he did much better in the second half. We ran a huge risk and could've thrown points away today, but the team put in a great performance and thankfully it went well. Cagliari are an impressive side and their recent results confirm that.

"I tried using four strikers at the end and we did well to prevent counter-attacks in that situation. We created so many chances and deserved the victory."

Napoli are now eight points behind leaders Juventus in second place.
