Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has signed a new five-year contract with the Partenopei.

The Slovakian, who has scored 61 goals since moving from Brescia in 2007, has committed his future to the Serie A side.

"It is a shirt that Marek is happy to honour," De Laurentiis posted on his Twitter account.

"We have renewed his contract, extending it until 2018."

Hamsik has won 64 caps for his country.
